VUV to UV CaF2 PL-CC Lenses

 

Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV-UV) Plano-Concave Spherical Lenses are available in select VUV Grade Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) crystalline material.

VUV to UV CaF2 Plano-Concave Spherical Lenses have one flat (plano) surface and one spherical surface curved inward (concave) to diverge VUV-UV transmitted rays from an object, and can be used to diverge collimated beams.  VUV to UV CaF2 Plano-Concave Spherical Lenses have negative effective focal lengths and can be used to offset the effects of spherical aberration caused by other lenses in a VUV to UV optical system, VUV to UV instrument or VUV to UV laser.

VUV Grade Calcium Fluoride: VUV grade CaF2 exhibits good transmission properties from ~ 145nm Vacuum UV (VUV) to ~ 8.0um in the Infrared.  CaF2 is a relatively soft crystalline material and care should be taken as CaF2 is sensitive to mechanical and thermal shock.  CaF2 is a cubic single crystal optical material.
